Taste of Sydney 2012

Taste of Sydney 2012 lived up to its reputation as Sydney’s favourite pop-up restaurant and food festival.

The torrential rain that hit Sydney on Thursday, 8 March forced the cancellation of the opening night’s Gala Evening Launch. Nonetheless the rain did not dampen the spirits of Taste of Sydney participants and Sydney’s foodies. The crowd on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday was huge.

Taste of Sydney 2012 had something for all taste buds as Sydney’s foodies enjoyed a great variety of delectable dishes by star chefs from award winning restaurants.

There was a big variety of food producers offering samples of gourmet sausages, cheeses, gelatos, whole foods, organic food, fresh fruit juicers, fresh fruit and vegetables, grains, nuts.

This year there was a great range of wines on display from over 23 wine producers. There were also a number of companies displaying ciders, beers, liquors and spirits. The cocktail workshops offered lessons to get those drinks mixing.

Merivale Food Festival 2012

The 2012 launch of March into Merivale was absolutly sensational. The event attracted huge crowd of stylish people sampling the food dishes on offer which proves again when it comes to events such as this the Ivy is the numero uno location. The oyster prawn plate was my fave. I am sure foodies will enjoy the deals on offer in the coming weeks.
Venue: The Ivy 330 George Street, Sydney.
